Hunter Volunteer Centre

Skills Bank

Over recent years, the Hunter Volunteer Centre has identified a community need for volunteers with specialist skills and expertise who are prepared to assist not-for-profit organisations at short notice.

In response to these needs, the Hunter Volunteer Centre is in the process of developing a database of people who can fit these roles.

What kind of volunteer is Skills Bank looking for?

We are looking for a diverse range of skills which not-for-profit organisations can utilise for short periods. For example: fundraising, information technology, horticulture, financial management, driving, foreign languages, entertainment, event organising, public relations and marketing, cooking, student mentoring, repair and maintenance, legal advice, arts and crafts, and many, many more.

How do I register?

We will then contact you to make an appointment with the Referral Service team at the Hunter Volunteer Centre. This appointment is the opportunity to provide supporting documents. eg: copies of CV, relevant certificates, licenses, etc, and to discuss you participation.
